Former Montclair resident Justin Gaines, has come a long way since growing up in Montclair NJ. The former chef at Whole Foods and The Office in Montclair, NJ, is ready to share his passion and dedication to fine dining with the world.
National recognition and possibly fame is within the grasp of this ambitious culinary artist. Mr. Gaines, a graduate of the prestigious College - The Culinary Institute of America, will be featured as a contestant on the reality cable show Chopped.
Chopped is featured on the Food Network and is hosted by Ted Allen. It pits professional chefs in a challenging competition on various difficult gourmet dishes.
The contest is very entertaining and inspires the imagination of people who love to both eat and cook. Justin AKA Chef Jus looks to become recognized nationally as a great culinary artist.
Chef Jus, is ready to become a cable favorite with his culinary prowess. I asked Justin about what we should expect from the show and he remarked:
The show Chopped places 4 chef contestants against each other in mystery ingredient basket elimination rounds. 1st 20 min appetizer round, 30 min entrée round, 30 min dessert round for elimination for the final two contestants for $10,000.
